You might have seen this new lip colour going around Instagram. I give this colour a name “dead chic” because it’s almost like that colour you see on dead people on tv. I know what your thinking, who wants to look dead, but I think with the right makeup this lip colour can be really pretty and unusual. Every makeup brand is carrying some version of this colour but I have decided to try Jeffree Star Cosmetics Liquid lipsticks in “Posh Spice” and “Celebrity Skin“. I’ve been watching Jeffree Star on YouTube for a long time, and I have always been a fan of his unusual looks. If you want to be entertained by makeup definitely check him out!
These liquid lipsticks go on almost like a lipgloss except a little bit runnier and are easy to apply with its spongy applicator. Just make sure you stay within the lip line. The magic really happeneds when these liquid lipsticks
dry. They go on completely opaque and matte. Now matte may not be everyone’s cup of tea because it is a little bit drying, but I just exfoliate and apply lip balm before. The best thing about these these lipsticks is their longevity. They last for hours without replaying! That’s always a bonus in my books
The colour Posh Spice
is definitely the perfect greige taupe colour in my opinion, even though it’s a little bit harder to wear. Now this is not your every day colour, for me I have to be in a mood to wear this lipstick. I chose to do a little bit more on the eyes and add more colour on my cheeks to make sure it doesn’t wash me out in order to pull the whole look off. For a makeup junkie like me this is a must!
The colour Celebrity Skin
is more on the wearable side with its soft brown nude colouring with a peachy undertone. I absolutely looove this lipstick. Out of the 2 it’s my favourite, and I have already worn it many times. This is the kind of colour that suits any makeup. When I don’t know what to wear I usually go for this type of peachy nude that compliments any eye makeup look.
I have been converted to this new finish of a lipstick, and I can’t wait to try different brands as well! Which ones do you recommend or have tried ? Comment bellow
