The Perfect Cat Eye

IMG_2927IMG_2928It is a rare day when I dont have jet black eyeliner. I have spent years perfecting my wing and even though it’s not perfect I gotta say it looks pretty damn good ?

➡️” Never ask a girl with winged eyeliner why she’s late” ⬅️

Over the years I have tried many types of liners. At first I used MAC Fluidline Eye-Liner Gel in Blacktrack, however I could never get that sharp wing with the brush. It was hard to control and the formula always transferred on my eyelids. I tried many liquid liners drugstore and high-end, but then I was introduced to STILA Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner, and oh boy, it was love at first sight ?

IMG_2897 The thin, marker-like tip is pointy enough for precision but firm enough so that the product doesn’t slide all over the eye. It goes on smoothly and the best part it lasts ALL day! Like this stuff is actually hard to take off. The only thing about the product that I am not 100% keen on is the sheen. It’s a little bit glossy looking once dry. And unfortunately as I got older this sheen is not so flattering when you have fine lines on your eyelids. I just use black eye shadow to go over the liner, which makes it matte, and also fills in any gaps and fine lines.

I have been using Stila eyeliner for years and I have repurchased many tubes, however as a makeup junkie I’m always on a lookout for something new. That’s when I met KAT VON D Tattoo Liner in Trooper. We also fell in love fast and got married even quicker.

Now this tip is very different from the Stila one. It’s actually a brush tip! I know crazy!
The tip consists of small brissels that allow you to create the sharpest wing known to man …. or women. This eyeliner is also
waterproof and is completely free of animal-derived ingredients and is not tested on animals.

I honesty can not pick my favourite between these two and I often use them together to create that perfect wing that I love to rock everyday. I always have both of them in my collection and when people ask me what’s my secret to good cat eye I always recommend these two eyeliners, and of course a whole lot of patience and practice!

What’s your favourite liquid liner ? Let me know down below ???
